Details:
Born in Madrid, from a scottish mother, moroccan father, educated in french, Ruben Campbell dominated very young 3 languages and grew up in a music atmosphere.

The grandparents sang Flamenco, the father sang french classics and from 5 to 20 years old, Ruben never stopped singing at family events, weddings, etc...then decided to go on stage and every year got new venues to perform an extended list of well known songs until he decided to start composing and writing the lyrics of his own songs.

His first song was planned to be co-writen with the british band "The Christians" to become the soundtrack of a movie to be presented at the Berlinale Festival.

His Jazz and Swing influences at that time made him record his first demo with 4 songs in english and turned his image on stage as a crooner. But the spanish market wasn't ready to launch that type of singer so he had reinvent himself.

All the record labels asked him new songs in spanish for the Latin market and made Ruben switch to a Pop style bringing a new image and personality. The result? 2 hits: "Amarte con mi Piel" and "Luz y Sombra".
