From the very beginning stages of singing in the church pew to the present day live performances on stage, her passion for music can be seen in everything that she does. Writing lyrics and melodies has only come recently for Shelly, but it has quickly become her greatest passion in music. Shelly knows the awesome responsibility that comes with writing lyrics and the impact they can have on someone. Her goal is to write and record music that touches the country audience.

Shelly finds a way to incorporate music into even the simplest things in life. Music is everywhere, in every corner of our collective existence, and Shelly believes that it is so much easier to live every aspect of our lives, like learning something difficult or even the simple things like teaching her daughter to tie her shoes, when music is a part of it.
