The Stone Pages are an original rock group out of Minneapolis with the main goal of making fresh new music while still keeping close ties to their late 60s/early 70s influences. Formed by guitarist Sasha Druva and former Mile One vocalist Patrick Schmid, the two met while being in a previous band in Boulder, Colorado. That band would go on to playing venues such as Tulagi's and the Ogden but would soon break up, with Patrick moving to Minneapolis and Sasha moving back to Melbourne, Australia; where he played with a couple bands in the local Melbourne scene. Coincidentally, Sasha would end up moving to Minneapolis because of family reasons and the two would join up again to form the Stone Pages, eventually joined by former Hazel Strange drummer Mark Larson and bassist Keith Weisser.
The group has recently been playing a variety of shows in the Twin Cities in support of its self-titled, independently released debut album. Combining intense vintage feeling rock along with shades of acoustic folk, blues, and a variety of other genres, the Stone Pages hope to create premier music for premier people.
