The easiest way to memorize Scripture is with music. This is why i began writing worship songs in 1984. Extensive work with Vineyard worship leaders such as Brian Doerksen, Andy Park, and Kevin Prosch in the â90âs filled me with a deep appreciation for music which is easy to sing, in a contemporary style, music which is fresh, original, and enduring, and â most important â music which ushers the listener into a deep, intimate, loving connection with Jesus.
In 1993, Rick Tatum sang on my second worship CD. His love for Jesus and his unique ability to project his heart through his voice always has a profound impact on me and on others who hear him. Rick was the logical choice for lead vocalist on this CD.
The HONK Band never fails to knock out listeners of all ages, both in concert and in recordings. I joined HONK in 1972, and our annual reunion tours are still a high point of the year for me both personally and musically.
