Alison Lefevreâsinger, whistler, pianist and composerâfinished her debut CD, âWhere It Ends,â in 2003, (leading to a jazz scholarship to Berklee School of Music) produced and arranged âClara Von Streetâ in 2005, and has just recently self- released her latest EP entitled, "Wide Awake."
Born in Louisiana, Alison ultimately finished her Art degree (in painting) from the University of New Orleans, where she also studied under jazz wizards Ellis Marsalis and Blue Noteâs Terrance Blanchard. Sheâs been a regular at House of Blues and the Spotted Cat in New Orleans, and now stars at several of New York Cityâs musical hot spots, including Rockwood Music Hall, the Knitting Factory and Spike Hill.
A mixed-media painter and admirer of director Christopher Guest, Alison owns every single Beatles song on vinyl and has ongoing music-crushes on Nigel Goodrich and Daniel Lanois.
