Singer/Songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist A. P. Meister releases his first solo album on May, 30th 2009.

The backbone of the album âMindflower, Thornâ is the acoustic guitar and the deep, solid vocals of A. P. Meister, who in the past has focused solely on the guitar. The recording was basically done old-style: letting songs and ideas come together organically, always trying to capture the moment. The result is an hour of original music which ranges from the 9 minute existentialist outlaw manifesto of âSlow Burnâ, the bluesy âThe Company of Snakesâ (featuring lots of slide-guitar), the ominous âLost at Seaâ and the country-tinged âSad Eyesâ, to the ethereal âSycamore Streetâ (partly inspired by a poem by Baudelaire). As varied as they are, the songs share the sombre tone and dreamlike imagery that is characteristic of A. P. Meisterâs music.
