Where the energie of the river Rhine and the power of the mountains come together, there is the source of the songs of the rock band Amerikan Beauty. The band from the Principality of Liechtenstein, a tiny country in the heart of Europe, was founded in 2005 by AlexX Fezzi (Drums) und Dennis Mungo (Guitar and Vocals), later completeted by Bruno Hoop on the bass guitar.

With concerts at high profile venues, like Alpenrock in Zurich, Grabenhalle in St. Gall or one particular remembering gig with the legends of glam-rock: LA Guns and BangTango at RockCity in Uster, the band quickly established itself as a great live act. In 2007 Amerikan Beauty recorded the single âPsychoWalzâ at New Sound Studio with producer Tommy Vetterli. The Song was played on many internet-radios in Switzerland, Germany and Italyand landed a spot in the popular Swiss radio show âRockSpecialâ of Radio DRS3.

2008 the band produced their first full length record at their home studio. The songs now have a more âindustrial-feelâ, AlexX says. The lyrics would mainly come from impression the band got from traveling in California, influenced by the social problems of our time. That would also give the Album its name: âSocial Stigmaâ. A definite highlight is the cover version of the 1979 classic disco hit âLovemachineâ originally by Supermax. The Austrian Producer Kurt Hauenstein alias Supermax was so delighted, that the cover version by Amerikan Beauty was put on a special edition box-set CD published by Universal Music in January 2009.
