Atli Örvarsson was born and raised in Iceland. After a successful, award-winning career in rock music in his native Iceland, Atli moved to the U.S. and into a successful career as a composer for film and television, working with Mike Post (Law and Order) and Hans Zimmer (Black Hawk Down, Batman Begins, The DaVinci Code, Pirates of the Caribbean, Angels and Demons) .

Örvarssonâs film credits include: Vantage Point, Babylon AD, Stuart Little 3, Angels & Demons, Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worldâs End, Frost/Nixon, etc. His score for The Last Confederate: The Story of Robert Adams earned him the audience award for best score at the Park City Film Music Festival and he is also a six time winner at the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards.
