Closing into 6 years of formation, Rising Pain
the Arizona based metal quartet, is getting
ready to enter the studio and record their
upcoming new album ìTHE ESSENCE OF DECAYî.

Recording is set up to start early November
of 2008 with Ryan Butler(Landmine Marathon, North Side Kings)
at his Arcane Digital Studio. It also features a guest appearance by Antony Hämäläinen(NIGHTRAGE).Part of the material has been
performed live for the past
couple of months receiving
a great response from fans
in our home state of Arizona,
Mexico and the West Coast
where we have been touring
sporadically since the
release of our last
album ìExistence is
Futileî self-released
January of 2007 and
re-released through a
distribution deal with
Open Grave records
October 23d of 2007.

Much has been achieved
since we first started
playing shows in the...



..Arizona metal scene back in 2002.

Starting with the recording of ìSalvation
for Noneî at the Saltmine Studios (Megadeth,
Soulfly, Vehemence) back in January of 2003 at
only 6 months of the bands creation.

The opportunity to travel and perform
continuously in Mexico since 2004.

The nationwide release of our first LP
ìExistence is Futileî through Open Grave
Records; which gave us the chance to tour
the west coast and gained us new fans.The good reception of our music
in different states and
countries due to the
radioplay of both our
albums.

The opening slots at
national shows in our
hometown and Mexico.

And Lately the
sponsorship of our
guitarist Ricky
Racines with Jackson
Guitars.

The growth of the band
and the growth of our
music came hand in hand.

Specially since Andy Luffey joined the band
right before the recording of our last album
ìExistence is Futileî. Recording that album with
him made us understand him as a musician and
it also made us look forward to start writing
new songs for our new album. It was a lengthy
process but it definitely exceeded our
expectations, the new material definitely shows
the growth of our song writing and our confidence
on stage grew as well because of that.

Its exciting to see the response of the crowd
at the shows. It doesnít really matter what
kind of show it is; if its death metal, metalcore
thrash, black metal, nu metal, deathcore,
grindcore, we pretty much fit in any kind of bill.

Also, having a South American(Ecuador) string section
with Ricky on guitar and Danny on bass definitely
gives us a fresh approach to the music. Having
different influences mixed with straight up metal.


And finally our lyrics written by frontman
Justin Bredvig, focus on personal battles, scars,
and they pretty much became a social observation
of the world and humankind as a whole. Our roles
in it and our everyday life. With every single
scream, Justin gives us another view of ourselves.

We are not trying to become another band that
just follows a trend. Weíve been writing songs and
playing shows for as long as we have to try to
portray what metal music represents to us and what
we think it should be.
