Dr. Paul Tanner, trombonist with the original Glenn Miller Orchestra, describes WITCH HAZEL as âindividual and charming and loaded with happy surprises.â

The title track, with words by Julia Rich and music by Chicago pianist Laura Hoffman, was influenced by Ono no Komachiâs poetry and Thelonious Monkâs âJapanese Folk Songâ (Kojo no Tsuki). The rest of the music on the album is varied, like flowers in a garden or flavors in a kitchen!
