Born in the rural community of Dry Branch, Georgia she grew up listening to and singing the soulful songs of Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, James Cleveland and Betty Wright just to name a few. Her mother tells her that she was singing before she was walking.
âI love music that touches the heart and soul. I consider myself a spiritual person and a firm believer that nothing is possible without God and everything is possible with God.â Smiling she adds, âHe is not through with me yet.â
She is the mother of four and grandmother of seven. She is a full time healthcare professional.
âWhen writing, I am usually singing as I write.â My musical knowledge is minimal but I love all kinds of music. I sing about love, whether it is searching for love, falling in love, making love, losing love, or the most important agape love that we all should possess for each other.â This CD grew from requests to record the inspirational âDid You Really Know Me?â written for her PHA Masonic family.
