This is the fourth full-length CD by Ms. Rutledge, native of Syracuse NY and long-time Joni freak. For this project, she has brought together a band of immense talent and energy. Her lyrical vocal style ranges from smoky to sassy, never straying from a deep connection to the material. Two original tunes highlight the song list, which is filled out by an eclectic mix of styles that "hang together" by virtue of the artists' taste and interpretation. Weaving material from the likes of James Taylor, John Coltrane, Billie Holiday, Henry Mancini, and Stevie Wonder into a musical journey that expresses joy on every cut, "no one home" will provide a perfect accompaniment to a dinner party, first date, or the ride home on a Friday afternoon.
