M.T. James is a singer/songwriter of uncanny talent. His songs give voice to the shadow sides of life, by bringing them into the light. With his sonorous vocals, gentle and evocative lyrics, beautiful melodies and haunting arrangements, Mike James takes the listener to deep places within themselves.

Mike James is from San Diego and has been living and playing music in Portland Oregon since early 2008. His musical background includes diverse influences including punk rock, indie rock,blues and folk.

Mikeâs debut solo album, Waiting for the Shell, was just released in Portland in 2009 and has received virtual cult status from the diverse fans who are drawn to itâs raw simplicity and beauty.
