This project started off about a year ago, in 08', with recording some original songs and it ended up being a whole album. Allen Higgins wrote all the songs and Anna Libby is the vocalist. Anna's dad is an old friend of the family and he had told Allen several times that his daughter, Anna, was a pretty good singer. So finally at a local event, Allen got the opportunity to meet her. They talked a little bit about music and he invited her over to sing sometime. They left it at that and went on their seperate ways. About a month or two later he recieved a phone call from her. She wanted to do some recording and give them to her dad for a Christmas present. When Allen heard her sing he was taken aback. Wow! What a voice. They completed that project and he invited her to come back again. He had some original material he had been working on and wanted to give her a shot at singing them. The results of that are what we put on the album. Anna was born with a natural talent. The only things she had done previous to this was in elementary school,high school and a few karaoke events. She can sing anything from Led Zepplin to Sara Bareillis to Martina Mcbride. She is young and determined with a passion for music and the ability and work ethic to back it up. She decided she wanted to get some experience in a band situation and playing to an audience. So Allen got in touch with some musicians he had worked with previously in another band. They all got together and jammed a few times and decided to be a part of the Becoming August Project. So now your probably wondering what Becoming August is... If you look up the word August in Webster's dictionary it's definition is Inspiring; Awe.. We are Becoming August because we want our listener's to feel the inspiration that we feel in music.
