Jangly mersey beat with abundant two part vocal harmonies and background oohs & aahs. Songs about teenage angst with very catchy melodies. Plenty of Rickenbacker guitars. This could have been the second Wonders cd after 'That Thing You Do'.

In 2006 the boolevards started recording 50 of the best pure pop songs they had written over the years. Using some of the classic instruments of the great Mersey Beat era (Rickenbacker 12 & 6 string guitars with some acoustic guitar in for flavoring) & utilizing classic mersey recording styles (double track vocals, very clean guitar sound, two part harmony, plenty of backround oohs & aahhs, combining both guitars & pianos on solo parts) they released the cd Real Pop in the spring of 2009. Aficionados of the mersey (real pop) sound will appreciate this solid effort.
