GALACTICUS 9! The idea hit like a bolt of lightening: a fun, epic rock album that told a sci-fi story reminiscent of 1950's cinema. Taking some already-written material ('Set Coordinates for the Planet Babe' and 'Triggers & Flags'), a tale developed about an intergalactic space traveler and his desperate quest to save his beloved starlet, Annie Saturn.

Galacticus 9 is our third album. It is our first work since we relocated from Olympia, WA to Boston, MA (winter 2008) and - I believe - you can hear the influence that the city has had on us.

We allowed ourselves to take the Sci-Fi cliches that are so much fun and run wild! At the same time, there is a very serious side to the album, where our characters talked about sacrifice and the struggle to reach their dreams... both subjects are very close to our own hearts.

It's energetic. It's fun. It's romantic. It's tragic. And it is 100 Johnny Stranger.
