This collection of 26 unusual rounds for all ages is available as CD and Songbook. Songbook includes in depth information about rounds, canons, catches, partner songs, and African-style cyclical songs, as well as important arrangement considerations and tips about learning and singing rounds.

Joanne Hammil, a nationally renowned music educator, performer, songwriter and choral director from Boston, is a major figure in community and children's music. She directs both Intergenerational and Children's Choruses in the greater Boston area and presents dynamic, participatory concerts and workshops across the country. Her songs, which have been performed and recorded by many artists, have been widely published, and her rounds have become exciting standards in books and harmony circles.

Joanne grew up in New Jersey, attended college in Massachusetts (B.A. in music, Smith College), and has raised her two children in the Boston area. Her son, Adam Ezra, is a rising voice himself as a singer-songwriter touring the country. Formerly Joanne Olshansky, her musical talents have been spread over a wide range of work for 35 years, centered around teaching, performing, songwriting, community choruses and music education. She served as President of The Children's Music Network for many years.

Her recordings of her original children's songs, Pizza Boogie and The World's Gonna Listen!, her two recordings of 53 of her original rounds, Rounds & Partner Songs Vol 1 & 2, and her âregularâ adult songs all consistently receive the highest acclaim.

In addition to her weekly choruses, Joanne's work in music education, on concert stages, and at her galvanizing workshops continues to inspire joy and learning through her music and her creative leadership.
