The music recalls The Chieftains at their orchestral best. Dannsair performed with The Chieftains at the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara, California last year at an incredible concert.
The music reaches emotional peaks reminiscent of Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill. Russ performed with Dennis Cahill in Chicago at Martyrâs Pub.
The music hums with the electric energy of Altan. Russ performed with Francie Mooney, father of Altanâs fiddler, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, in Donegal at the Hiuidai Beagâs session in Bunbeg.
The CD churns with the propulsive rhythms of Lunasa. Russ jammed in Dingle with Donough Hennesey, the founding guitar player of Lunasa.
