Georgia Clay

Born in Columbus, GA and raised on country music, Clay Karm, singer/songwriter/guitar player of Georgia Clay, moved to Nashville in 2003 to study music business at Belmont University. In 2005, he chose to take a break from school, in part to help with the relief efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. It was during that time he decided to focus solely on songwriting and performing. Two years later, Clay Karm returned to Belmont to pursue a commercial music degree, with an even stronger passion for music than when he started.

Clay has performed all over Nashville. The Bluebird Café, Tootsieâs Orchid Lounge, Tin Roof, Nashville Palace, Full Moon Saloon, Crossroads, and Cadillac Ranch are just a few of the many Nashville venues where people have experienced his music. Most notably, he performed with well-respected songwriter Tommy Barnes, which later Clay admitted, âIt was tough to follow him, but I wasnât intimidated; I was inspired.â Clayâs inspirations have produced numerous songs that people have come to know and love.
