Quinn DeVeaux has the smoothest yet dirty spank you voice we've heard in decades. With all the style of a great soul/blues singer from the earth bound 1950's. Quinn harnesses the likes of Ray Charles, John Hurt, Fats Domino and Bo Diddley to warm up to his record, LIons on Lakes. His songwriting is classic in form and brand new at the same time. There are tunes to make you cry, there are tunes to chill to and some to get your foot tapping.

Lions on Lakes was actually supposed to be Lines on Lakes but when a friend misheard and painted the childlike cover, the album found it's home. It was recorded mostly in a San Francisco apartment of Cathal Obrien but also some tracks were laid in Oakland, CA with Connor Morrison, who later released the record under his Amazilia Records label.

The songs are sweet and to the point of all things love and life. They end as fantastic as they begin. With only voice and guitar on most tracks, Quinn captures an end of summer mood and a calm perseverance that few artist ever find. Gotta check out this record!
