Classic carousel music played by an authentic 1890's Fair Organ. This organ provided beautiful music at Disney World for many years.
22 MP3 Songs
EASY LISTENING: Background Music, KIDS/FAMILY: General Children's Music
Details:
"Loudmouth Sadie Mae" is one of the world's most well known Fair organs. Being made in France in the late 1800's, she was shipped to the United States. She played for many years on a carousel in an amusement park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After the park closed, the organ was bought by pioneer mechanical music collector and restorer, Paul Eakins. Mr. Eakins restored her, toured the organ around the country and placed it in his two museums, the first being at the Gay 90's Village in Sikeston, Missouri. After the first museum was closed, Sadie Mae moved the Gay 90's Melody Museum in St.Louis for a while and that's were the title of the recording came from. In 1975, she was chosen to record the music for the Disney World and Disneyland bicentennial parades for the 1975-76 season. When Mr. Eakins retired, she was eventually bought by Disney World and provided many years of faithful service providing music for special occasions and dignitaries.
