Echo Park is acoustic/electric indie songwriting backed by blues and folk.
12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Roots Rock, FOLK: Folk Blues
Details:
Erik Vice, 21, is an acoustic/electric independent artist from San Diego, CA. His music has a strong blues and folk influence mostly that of Bob Dylan, and also that of a more recent artist, Elliott Smith. Erik not only just a talented songwriter but also can be a rather impressing guitarist as he is no stranger to finger picking blues. As an independent artist he records everything at his home studio using the combination of a Sony TC-377 reel-to-reel, a Tamaha MT400 four-track and lastly the computer. The instrumentation varies from 12-string acoustic, 6-string acoustic, electric guitar, harmonica, piano, and keyboard synthesizer.
Erik Vice's first release was in December 2005, with his 7-track EP "Jump". And now about a year later he is releasing his debut LP "Echo Park" consisting of 12 tracks varying from instrumental piano, to indie rock, to blues-folk tunes. In some tracks you can hear strange background noises, which only seem to help enhance the songs.
