Richard Désilets is launching his fifth album "The Acrobat Of Mind". On this album, you will recognize some influence of minimalism as well as of impressionist and avant-garde music.

Mostly composed of works for electronically prepared piano. You will also listen to some amazing composition for choir, string quartet, lounge style music and one electroacoustic piece as a bonus at the end.

Here is a brief description of each composition.
 
The Acrobat Of Mind is for electronically prepared piano merges with soundscape of city parks.

Schoolyard buzz for two pianos whose one is electronically prepared, are both mixes with a schoolyard background.
 
Menuetto in vitro for piano, flute, violin, trombone and vibraphone is build in tree sections (slow - fast - slow).

Letters from Uranus reveal some influence of minimalist music. The instrumentation is for piano, trombone, flute, violin and vibraphone, mix on a raining soundscape.

CIcadas for piano, violin, percussions and choir find his inspiration from a Haiku poem by Basho.

Nothing in the cry of cicadas
Suggests they are about to die

Maven is a string quartet mix along a train wagon soundscape surround by a deep bass drone.
 
Moonlight drone for piano creates a romantic and sensual atmosphere mix with a deeply touching bass drone.
 
Timeless dream is a composition for piano and voices. The music is blending with birds singing in a summer atmosphere.

The funambulist is for electronically prepared piano that sounds like a wah-wah effect.

Blish in for electronically prepared piano is a kind of minimalist riff developed upon few notes on a background noise of a ventilation system.
 
Missing Warhol is a lively and rhythmic piece for electronically prepared piano,

Roving cactus was composing using an electronic keyboard. Some drone bass and buzz effects were add on the mix.

Out of Samsara was initially scored for a movie. It turns out to be one manifestation of my inner desire to get free of suffering.

Road city is a kind of lounge music style mix with urban noise.
 
Horizon line is for string orchestra settles with an ocean soundscape.

Richard Désilets is a freelance composer. He aspires to be a musician who cares to be unique and authentic, assuming all the consequences of them. Pianist, his principal instrument is now the computer and its music-processing tools.

Par la suite de sons de drone basses et des effets buzz ont été ajoutés lors du mixage.

Out of Samsara sâagissait à l'origine dâune partition pour musique de film. Au fil du temps, cette composition est devenue une manifestation de mon désir intérieur de me libérer de la souffrance de ce monde.

Road city se trouve une musique de style ¨lounge¨ mixé avec des sons d'environnement urbain.

Horizon line intègre un orchestre à cordes à un paysage sonore océanique.
