Jazmin: Finally Free
Jazmin Miranda was raised in Piscataway, New Jersey. Since she was a child, Jazmin always attended church and grew up in a Christian home. She developed a strong interest in singing, dancing, and acting at a very young age and began taking professional classes to further develop and perfect these interests. Her biggest dreams were to become a successful R&B singer. Through the years she tried every opportunity she could get in the secular world. She would often take trips to New York City to audition for shows such as American Idol, Showtime at the Apollo, Star Search, etc. She was slightly discouraged when these doors werenât opened, but she never gave up. By the age of 19, Jazmin began trying to make an R&B album, but things just werenât working the way she had planned.
Jazmin was always active in the church. She was a member of the drama ministry, choir and as a current member of Christ Church of Somerset she is one of the worship leaders. Jazmin always knew she had a call and purpose on her life but didnât know exactly what it was until she joined Christ Church of Somerset. Her faith, beliefs, and teachings began to grow stronger in her than ever before. Here she met a young anointed man, who had just completed his first worship CD, and by Godâs divine intervention, Jazmin began accompanying him at many different functions ministering Godâs Word. Jazmin finally realized Godâs call on her life. She took a complete 180 degree turn and changed her passion for music towards Christ. Many doors started to open and Jazmin began working on her first gospel CD.
In keeping with some of her R&B roots, Jazmin has full belief that we can still worship and praise our Savior through whatever style of music, such R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin, Dance, Country, Jazz, etc. She hopes to inspire and touch the heart of the world with Godâs word.
