Originally formed in 1996, Blinded By Rage paved the way for a return to hardcore in Vermont. As the years have passed the underground music scene has changed. The mid 90's sparked a golden age of the NYC hardcore movement as opposed to today's market which is dominated by metal. Always an original, Blinded By Rage has managed to find that ever elusive blend of the genres that many bands have attempted but not quite captured. Covering everything from brutal "old school" half time breakdowns to more intricate and melodic compositions, Blinded By Rage has captivated audiences on both sides of the of the Metal and Hardcore divide. Once again unifying Burlington's fractured music scene.
After a long hiatus, the band reunited in 2005 breathing new life into an otherwise stagnant circuit. Their first release, an untitled three song EP, enjoyed overwhelming and somewhat unexpected success, selling over a thousand copies locally and abroad. With new found motivation and enthusiasm, the band expanded their territory to include many venues in MA, as well as Maine and New Hampshire, creating a buzz throughout the entire New England region. Although recent efforts have been focused closer to home, they are planning a New England tour for the winter of 2008 to promote their newest and first full-length release ' Here's to the Wreckage '. A compilation of crushing, heart stopping brutality with a wide range of musical styles and poetic, thought provoking lyrics. Comprised mostly of new material, 'Here's to the Wreckage' marks a milestone in the bands creativity of composition but also includes some old fan favorites that are sure to satisfy even the most discriminating musical palette. Also in the works to promote their new CD is their first video featuring the song "Endless Mistrust".
