Walkright Records is proud to announce its latest release; John Earl Walker Live In Germany

All songs are J.E. Walker orignals, and both the sound quality and the performances are awesome!

Fans have long been demanding a live CD from John Earl Walker and now they have one! This was John Earl Walker's first appearance in Germany and Europe although there had been strong interest in bringing him there for some time. The band were invited to play at the 40th Annual Burghausen Jazz Festival on March 21st. 09 and the German audience knew they were in for something special! The excitement of the concert was captured on this live CD. Song after song built up with intensity and the audience really responded to the themes in the songs, and the high quality musicianship which left them shouting for more! John Earl Walker's band included two long time band mates; Peter Harris on bass, Slinky Tremelo on guitar, and fantastic new members Frank Diorio on drums, and Tommy Keys on piano.

John Earl Walker has been playing guitar since the mid 60's By the time he was 18 his band were supporting artists like Buddy Guy, Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Dr. John, John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, and many other luminaries. The band became Capitol recording artists Plum Nelly and played at Carnegie Hall, opening for the James Gang, on May 15, 1971. There aren't too many blues artists who have had the privilege of playing at Carnegie Hall! Since then John Earl has built a reputation as an original and exciting performer. He has enjoyed extensive airplay across the globe and very healthy CD sales. Here's what a few reviewers and fans had to say:

With no exception - the albums made by John Earl Walker are lively, with catchy songs and appealing to both rock- and blues lovers. With his recognizable guitar sound combined with talking vocals you can easily pick him out so he's a regular on the Blue Ears Blues playlists.
JC Hans / Blue Ears Radio, the Netherlands

On my show I play mostly kick ass blues and rock from around the world. John Earl Walker fits into my show perfectly and my listeners love him tooâ¦
Nita T, Cygnus Radio, Tupelo, Miss.

If you are into guitar driven blues/rock music with an attitude, you are certainly going to want to add ANY and EVERY of John Earl Walker's CDs to your wish list.
Tom Branson, Bluesrockers.com

Setting a guitar on fire is purely theatrics that may
pre-date Hendrix, done to shock and awe the audience.
John Earl Walker doesnt have to resort to such theatrics.
He has to be careful not to catch any house he plays on
fire. The fire that flies from his fingertips would leave
any venue he plays a pile of smoldering ash. He is incendiary, pure fire...
His band (not to be forgotten)
equally so....

Dave King, Just Roots PR

Some comments from other famous guitarists:

"What part of the South are you from?" B B King
"Just keep on playin' the way you do" Buddy Guy
"Love the way you guys rock them blues" Big Jack Johnson.
as well as guitar wizard Jimi Hendrix who said;
"This kid can really play"!
