Details:
Josh James' musical journey started at age 8, when his mother purchased Josh's first guitar and payed for lessons at Guitar House of Tulsa. His interest in music came first from listening to his aunt's eight track player in her car while she ran errands for the family business. She had such greats as The Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John and Van Morrison and he was hooked! Josh's first foray into the music business came in 2005 when he released his E.P. "Primitive Sketches" , a four track recording of a live performance. Not happy of the sound of just a solo performance James' enlisted the help of John Conrad, a local Tulsa musician and producer. In early 2006 they recorded "Painted In A Corner", James' first full length L.P. It was met with modest success and praise from Urban Tulsa Weekly. In late 2007, Josh began to record the follow up to "Painted In A Corner with the same producer titled "Asbestos Honey". "Asbestos Honey" is a folk/rock/americana blend with plenty of catchy hooks and foot tapping melodies!
