Landing in Central America eons ago, after a long interstellar journey, the small piece of ore lay undisturbed for generations, sending its message of peace, love and hope telepathically to the corners of the Earth. With the world in an ever increasing state of disarray, the ore (having been forged generations earlier in the Lazerblade), realizing that time is growing too short to fulfill its mission alone, enlists the help of the 6 wandering souls that came to be known as The Children of the Blade.

Described by some as âpregressive ecclectric rocktronicaâ with mind blowing visual, Lazerblade first performed in 2004 at Connect electronic music festival. The following year, at Connect's 10 year anniversary party, they were invited back to headline the main stage of the prairie's largest electronic music festival, being the first live band to do so. Other highlights of 2005 were: Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, the Saskatchewan Film Awards, the Scarth Street Fair in Regina, and Welcome Week at the University of Regina. In August 2006 they co-headlined the Regina FolkFest, performing with the likes of Ani Difranco, Steve Earle, Utah Phillips and Feist. Also in August 2006, they released their first full length album, âMessage to Earthâ. In short, they draw from many different styles of music but always deliver a heavy hitting live dance party, with jazz overtones.
