London-born, Brooklyn-based, and influenced mainly by post-punk, ska and 90âs alt-rock, The Silver is likened variously to Modest Mouse, Eels, The Clash, The Smashing Pumpkins, the Helio Sequence and early U2.

Previously incarnated on the West coast as silversphere - with the haunting 2006 release âSongs of Longing & Lossâ hailed by fans as âan enigmatic, atmospheric gemâ - the move to the East in 2008 marked a shift to a harder-edged, uneasier sound.

The culmination is âWaveformsâ - to be released on Midsummer Eve, June 24th, 2009.
