Details:
Lost Souljaz consists of three members; ASN, Griffix (AKA Will AKA Billy Deezle) & Cylence (P). The group started as the Snipaz which originally consisted of ASN, Griffix and super-producer J. Cardim (who has now produced for such artists as AZ, Noreaga, ODB, Saigon and many more)in the emementary school days. They would freestyle all week after school and on the weekend. Videos, 4-tracks, etc.
J then moved to Brazil seperating the Snipaz which then became known as LSD (Lyrical Snipa Dawgz)with thier debut 'Permanent High'in ASN & Griffix's Freshman year of High School.
Seperated once again, Griffix went on to do his thing, ASN put together many solo albums between then and their reunion about five years later, when Giffix, ASN, & Cylence became known as the Lost Souljaz. Cylence made an appearance only in a verse long interlude over the phone due to his incarceration during the time the album was recorded. During this time ASN had his first son.
Shortly after Cylence's release, ASN was sent away to serve one year of a two & a half year sentence.
Cylence and Griffix were to put out the 60+ songs they had recorded but life got in the way. Through out ASN's sentence, Cylence was in and out of jail. Griffix went to an Upstate New York rehab to battle an addiction.
Cylence has also recently had a child and is still fighting his drug addiction. ASN is trying to do the right thing by his family and still continue to persue his dream. Griffix is stil MCing out of Connecticut. There does not seem to be hope in sight for a reunion, but no name could be more appropriate for this group than Lost Souljaz.
Magic was made in the time they were together and thank God it was able to be immortalized. ASN is due for a solo release this winter with tracks from J. Cardim, up and coming producers Micide & Mike B., Eddy Bones of the Skitz and more.
