HIS EMINENCE CHAGDUD TULKU RINPOCHE-meditation master, teacher and artist-held many great lineages of the Nyingma tradition of Vajrayana Buddhism from Tibet: the Dudjom, Khyentse, Apong Terton, Khenpo Ngaga, Padgyal Lingpa and Longchen Nyingt'hig. Founder of Chagdud Gonpa Foundation and Chagdud Gonpa Brasil, he constructed the first Tibetan traditional temple in Latin American. He also authored several books on Buddhism and the path of meditation including, Life in Relation to Death, Gates to Buddhist Practice and his autobiography, Lord of the Dance.
This CD was recorded in California in the late 1980's at a private studio and has until now only been available on tape cassette. His Emminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche was known throughout Tibet and Asia to be one of the great Throma masters and singers. The practice of Throma contains the complete path of the Vajrayana, from ngondro (the preliminary practices) all the way through the Dzogchen (Great Perfection) practices of trekchod and t'hogal.
This recording has been re-mastered and tracked for the easy learning of Dudjom Lingpa's sadhana. This feature can be of great help to people who are training to become "umzes" (chant leaders) or "chopens" (ceremonial assistants) for their Dharma centers or practice groups.
The double CD set includes:
· 12 page color booklet with liner notes
· A synopsis of the practice of Throma Nagmo
· The lineage of Dudjom Lingpa's sadhana in Tibetan
· A Short History of Chagdud Gonpa in Tibet, the United States and Brazil
· Images of P'hadampa Sangye, Machig Lobron and Dudjom Lingpa
· T'hanka image of Throma Nagmo mandala
· Tracks are cued to each section of the sadhana for easy reference
· Development and Completion sections, Protectors and the Tsog ceremony
