ROCK: Instrumental Rock, ROCK: Progressive Rock

Details:
"The first song (The Drillin'Yard House") nearly ended the project" according to drummer David McClellan."Terry(guitarist Terry Sidon) wanted every song to sound like it was copied from an old vinyl album".I think he succeeded on TDYH,and we can laugh about it now,but it made for some interesting days during the process."
As far as the name of the group, McClellan explained "We called the group The Road Kings really as a joke, because we've never even been across the street! This was just a chance to play some music."Several of the songs were inspired by McClellan's experiences "growing up" in Shreveport,Louisiana.
"The Drillin Yard House was a place where we
(a band named Axis) practiced. There was an old empty house on the property of an oil well drilling company.
What in the world is âWalking through the Arbucklesâ? âThe Arbuckle Mountains in Oklahoma!âMcClellan explained. âOur truck broke down in the Arbuckles, and we had to hitch hike into town, somehow we managed to get a repair shop to loan us the tools, to replace a fuel filter, naturally we didnât have a dime to spare. The King Will Walk, was Mason's version of "Walking" so we ended up with 2 songs, since we liked both versions."
Will The Road Kings ever play live? âDepends on whether we sell any copies of this cd!âLandis added, jokingly. ânot if Terry wants it to sound like an old vinyl album....just kidding Terry!"- McClellan."Most people play, hoping it will take them to an opportunity to record, but we did this hoping it would lead to a chance to play live."-Landis."People might think we're crazy, especially since we don't have a singer, but as David has said before âthe only difference between brilliance and insanity, is how many copies you sellâ âWeâre happy with the way this turned out, even if people do think weâre crazyâ "Know any good vocalists?"
