JOHN KALISHES featuring MICHAEL HILL

Unleashe album MIRAGE

"Laugh while you can, monkey boy!"

That line just about sums up the tone and tenor of Mirage, the debut album from John Kalishes featuring Michael Hill. Along with his music partner and fellow bon vivant Michael Hill, they have raised more than a few eyebrows with this 11-song aural journey.

Guitar slinger/songwriter and noted producer John Kalishes along with vocalist/songwriter Michael Hill bring to the masses an edgy rock affair that combines monster guitars and meaty drums with melodies and arrangements that bring to mind a deft melding of Zep and the Fab Four coupled with the aggression and intensity of some of the more recent rock offerings.

After doing time with Rick Danko (former member of The Band) and Benjamin Orr(former member of The Cars) after their respective "superstar" bands dissolved, John stepped outside of his resume and recorded his musings on love, sex, humanity and inhumanity via the zeros and ones that make up Mirage.

Michael Hill has been writing and recording original songs for many years and currently is shopping other material as well as the Mirage project.

Oh sure, there's a dark edge to the Mirage proceedings but the songs are also drenched in wry humor. Hey, when John and Michael tell you to go to hell, you actually enjoy the ride. Unique arrangements accompany odd lyrical and musical interludes that make this release a truly original effort. Don't expect any of this to sound like John and Michael's "old" bands. This is fresh, new and rather pointed in its delivery. Parents, clergy and prudes will not be amused.

It's not rock. It's not pop. It's not world. It's not alt/metal. It's all that and more. You just don't hear stuff like this today. Yesterday either.

Messrs. K. and H. invite you to experience Mirage.
