Kara first made an impression alongside brother Mitchell in the Sydney based band 'Papa Lips'. The band became popular due to their unique blend of soul, blues and roots music, highlighted by Kara's sultry, distinctive vocals.

In either seven year history the band produced three albums, toured extensively and achieved nationwide radio airplay, leading to international interest that resulted in support tours with Little Feet and Eric Johnson. In 2002, the band's success and original sound caught the attention of legendary producer Harry Vanda (ACDC) who went on to produce the EP 'Sky Is Falling'.

In her hometown of Sydney, Kara has become a regular at the city's premiere music venue 'The Basement'. In her role as guitarist/vocalist for the 'Steve Prestwich Band' (Cold Chisel), she features in both the ABC TV series 'Live At The Basement' as well as the extended DVD release.

No stranger to the festival circuit, Kara has performed at the Woodford Folk Festival and the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival where she shared the bill with international acts such as Emmylou Harris and Ben Harper.

Recent collaborations have resulted in tours to Japan and the UK, where she recorded an album with English based pop group 'Freewinder'.
With a brand new sound, a collection of new songs, a soon to be released CD a new chapter is about to unfold for the young artist, one that promises to reveal her most honest and passionate work to date.
