King Onus was formed in 2002 with no intent to be limited to one style of music. Songs were written arranged and performed no matter what genre outcome (we just wanted the music to be natural, played with feeling). With the soulful blend of Rock, Blues, Hip Hop, R&B and a little Latin influence, King Onus is hard to put into one category. It seems to work well for them winning The Texas Twister Rally Battle of the Bands in 2005. In these times it's hard to be original but I think this band pulls it off. (Maybe a new perspective on something that's already been written about, a different feeling on an arrangement of the past). Their 16 song debut CD entitled "People" has just been released. The CD is filled with soulful and heart felt vocals. The musicianship and chemistry in the music you'd think these guys were all related. King Onus says their just trying to do their thing and hope people like it.
