Hey, my name is Kiira Bivens. I am a singer, songwriter, poet, artist, and a hopeless romantic. I started writing songs in third grade, believe it or not, about a boy who didnât like me at all. I kept writing and singing my songs up until this very moment and I will continue to do so forever. I love music; I love creating. I did the American Idol thing. If you happened to see me thatâs cool, and if you didnât then that is even better. It was an experience. Possibly, the most horrifying and best lesson I have ever learned as well. I then proceeded to record my first professional demo in Nashville, TN. I didnât let the people at American Idol stomp out my dreams, no sir. In Tennessee I recorded a great demo. This was a great experience and I will never forget it. I keep moving in steps. Step after step, trying not to miss a beat of this whole glorifying process. After Nashville, I recorded again, but this time I did it in Houston. Houston is my home. Born and raised. I keep writing and singing everyday... writing is my only way out of this crazy world. And my writing helps me make sense out of a completely senseless world. My only hope is that my lyrics can do that for someone else as well. Thatâs my goal here: To write and sing and produce music that someone else can relate to, learn from, and not feel so alone by hearing it. I try to touch hearts, break hearts, heal hearts and explain things I donât understand. Within these potent lyrics of mine lies a girl that has had heartbreak that pushed her over her edge. A girl that realized what she was worth. A girl who then sewed up her own heart and moved on. That girl is Kiira Bivens or simply, me.
