King B.A.V. was on the first round ballot for the 2003 Grammy nominations for the song Arnold Vs. Arnold. King B.A.V. and the "Rhyme Bomb!" CD were also on the first round ballot for the 2002 Grammy nominations, in four categories. Best Rap Album, Album of The Year, and Best New Artist. Also, the producer of "Rhyme Bomb!" is nominated for producer of the Year.

King B.A.V. was born in Chicago, Illinois. He now makes his home in San Diego, California. He began writing songs at the age of 12. King B.A.V. was the founding member, songwriter, and lead rapper for the group "Positive Touch". In 1997, King B.A.V. left "Positive Touch" to focus on his solo career. King B.A.V.'s 1999 EP "I Rock" received national attention when Gavin and Impact both included a favorable review of the CD in their trade magazines.
