The Five Deadly Venoms have earned a reputation at the top of New York Cityâs vibrant bluegrass scene. The band is built on the virtuosity of award winning pickers and singer/song-writers who have come together to carve a fresh and exciting new vision for bluegrass and new acoustic music.

To capture the immediacy of their live sound, the band called on Nashville heavy-hitters Randy LeRoy and three-time Grammy winner Dave Sinko for mixing and mastering. Their self-titled debut album showcases the talent that surges through this young unit. Instrumental odysseys âAnnaâ and âChasing The Chickenâ give a view into the depth of compositional vision while songs like âSleeping Dragonâ and the haunting âThis Lonesome Roadâ are too memorable to go unnoticed by the Billboard Top 100.

The Five Deadly Venoms were recently featured as finalists in the 2009 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition. To celebrate this honor, the band is on tour this summer of 2009 where they will play markets between NYC and Los Angeles, performing for several dates in the South and Colorado on their way to the west coast.
