For INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE players. A video tutorial focused on "Shuffling it Up, an original composition for blues harmonica by Adam Gussow of Satan and Adam.
Most harp players have some idea how to carry a shuffle groove in second position (cross harp), using chords in the lower octave. "Shuffling it Up" is something different: a first-position shuffle that holds down the groove by using tongue-blocking in the middle octave alternating with upper-octave blow notes and bends.
Technical challenges include lots of tongue blocking, some basic syncopation, and a couple of blow bends. Nothing faster than a dotted eighth note here; just the challenge--for most players--of an unfamiliar approach to the harmonica blues.

Everything Mr. Gussow teaches is gold. I have never had anyone to glean knowledge from oropen up the book of learning like Mr. Gussow has. It is truly up to ones self. The tools are all here.
