SharkAttack is gonna RIP YOUR HEAD OFF!!!!!Gary Compton, Dave Still and Gary Stacha. All hailing from the DFW metroplex these veteran musicians have been working together on and off for 24 years. Putting together the band âThe Rilersâ in the late eighties, with founding member Brian Phipps, (Brian is credited with one of his songs âSecretsâ on the debut Black CD)the band reached a local level of success but right time and right place just didnât happen. Throughout the next few years the band line up changed and each member went to different parts of the U.S. in search of a new experience that would ultimately make us all better players and get the creative juices flowing. In early 2004 Gary C. and Dave and Gary S. found each other all living in Dallas, TX, Brian is living in Austin TX and writing songs for a solo project, and thought it would be fun to start jamminâ together. Next thing you know we started to write some tunes and play locally doing covers and then went full time writing. We are now a power trio with a hard rock edge and clever lyrics that are fun and filled with all things rock, with just enough punch to be in your face but also appeal to all genres of music lovers. The Black CD was recorded over a few weeks in Dallas at Valve Studios with Casey DiIorio at the helm and we think it kicks some ass! We know youâre gonna love it! Our follow up âRedâ EP is on the way and has 4 rockinâ new tunes. Itâs the year for a SharkAttack!
