Details:
Conquest of Steel have earned their name as Britainâs number one metal warriors, flying the flag of British Metal at home and abroad. Renowned for their manic live shows, they have long been wowing crowds in support of their critically acclaimed albums. With cult status already assured, the band will continue to gig across this and other lands prove to the gig-going public that Heavy Metal is alive and well.
The quest began in 1998 with the âPriests of Metalâ EP (self released) which impressed listeners with its old school values and metal ethos. The band then released âStadiums of Steelâ, a split 12â (No Face Records) with fellow British metallers Evanesce (RIP). Following the success of the 12â the band set about producing their debut album âConquest of Steelâ, an album has now become part of the Conquest legacy doing much to garner the attentions of both press and fans. The âMay Your Blade Never Dullâ EP released in late 2006 featuring both re-recorded old tracks and brand new Metal anthems was the first time that the bandâs live vigour had been truly captured on CD and, for a metal starved public it represented a return to the glory days of heavy metal. Conquest of Steelâs 2nd album âHammer and Fistâ (No Face Records) was released in 2007: 10 tracks of Heavy Metal Thunder, an iron-clad production and a ânon-more metalâ attitude.
The bands 3rd album has just been released - a full-blown concept album entitled âStorm Sword: Rise of the Dread Queenâ. This is Conquests most ambitious project yet.
Line-up: Dan Durrant (Vocals)
DD Danger (Guitars)
Vic Victory (Bass)
James âClaymoreâ Clarke (Lead Guitar)
Chris âThe Destroyerâ Mills (Drums)
