In the 70's, Curtis Lawson hosted his own television show for two years on Cable 25 in San Francisco, entitled: "The Curtis Lawson California Blues. "Curtis Lawson was born in Houston, Texas 2-11-34 who started as a stand up comic, for years writing jokes, and performing in local bars at 22 years of age drafted in the U.S.Army and was station at Fort Mason in San Francisco, Lawson was release from the army in 1958, fell in love with San Francisco, and made it his home. Lawson begin singing the blues on the Divisadero & Fillmore st with Billy Dunn on all keybroads and Julien Vaught, playing all sax.

Composition And Recording: Curtis Lawson is an accomplished composer and writer in addition to being a multi-talented entertainer. his composition "My Woman,My Girl,My Wife," has been recently re-released on CD along with 45 R&b favorities. More CD's are in the works and will include "My Town" on a new release. Other songs Lawson has written include "Feel For You (but i can't reach you) "Putting My Love On The Line", and "Time To Hold You". Versatility: Lawson's universal appeal has thrilled crowds throughout the Bay Area and California, as well as other states. Well traveled, Lawson was one of the first R&b bands to play in So. Lake Tahoe, playing for 5 years at The High Sierra. He has performed twice in Hawaii, and has played in Aspen and Teluride, Colo. Lawson has performed as the headliner in many blues festivals.
