Details:
The name is Kamadyah Young and I'm an evolving inspirational poet, rapper, author and film director. Motivated by the evident lack of positive lyrics in music and the world in general, I seek to make that change. I join the realm of the few positive artists such as Lauryn Hill and India arie, who have managed to survive the strong influence of this money and sex driven world to hold onto the essence of life.
My first CD is entitled Listen, with little music involved it appeals to my audience to do just that. Followed by a highly emotional production entitled Jena 6, dedicated to 6 young men facing racial discrimination in the small town of Jena Louisiana. My most recent CD, Love Is All There Is, has marked a vast growth in the way I perceive events and people in my life. To see the love in everything is at times very difficult; but when one attains that level of spiritual growth it becomes everso obvious. It includes music from Otanu Yisrael, Lee, Brian Gandy, Shetmeyah Yisrael and Shaaltiel Reuven. Not forgetting the lovely soothing voice of Akweevyah which draws the listener into the lyrics. Unlike my first two productions, This CD gives the youth an opportunity to dance to something as I stepped out of the realm of poetry into the shoes of a calm smooth rapper. I give all credence to My CREATOR, for it is by HIM that all things are possible!
