Influenced by his parents, Kirby Shields grew up listening to classic R&B music. His father a talented musician/entertainer would play the piano and sing songs to his family. At the age of 10 Kirby embraced his love of music and began to perform in various talent shows. Kirby became friends with the late Ian Samwell the father of british Rock. Ian mentored Kirby for three years helping to develop Kirby's career. While working on his sophomore album in the summer of 2007, Kirby was 1 of the 10 artists picked out of 3000 acts by the dj's at KSFM 102.5 to audition to open for Hip-Hop acts Nas & Ludacris. Using street level distribution Kirby has became a force to be reckoned with. Ultimately Kirby's passion continued to grow and develop into a style thats is unique. Mixing a blend of Hip-Hop & R&B with a touch of House/Techno, Kirby is sure to bring fire and energy to the table. With songs like I'M JUST GETTING STARTED, MATERIALISTIC and PUPPETS Kirby showcases his electrifying energy. Remembering his roots, Kirby brings a classic R&B flavor with some of his other tracks like PLAY ME and I DON'T WANNA HURT YOU. Kirby is SURE to cross the barrier into several genre's.
