Dedicated to the loving memory of Leahâs two sons, who left her far too soon, Hearts was a labor of love for Kenny and Leah, born from the heartache and enduring love for her children. This inspiration as well as the dedication and devotion of this husband and wife duo, Kenny and Leah Soderblom, resulted in an album of incredible beauty and artistry.
In addition to the Hearts title track, Marty Balinâs big hit, the albumâs timeless songs include: the Portuguese Fado Malmequer, , jazz classic Body and Soul and the R&B standard Harlem Nocturne, two great original classic gems Over The Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz and the 1995 Best Original Song Oscar winner, Colors of the Wind from the Disney film âPocahontas,â the famous Irish folk song Danny Boy and Caruso, a tribute to the great Tenor by Lucio Dolla.
Kenny & Leah regularly perform their special brand of music at cabaret venues and private functions around the country. A classically trained mezzo soprano and fluent in six languages, Leah is equally comfortable singing a variety of styles including jazz standards, Broadway tunes, Torch songs, Brazilian classics as well as the passionate sounds of the Fado. While in Lisbon, Portugal at La Taverna, the club where world famous Fado singer, Mariza got her start, Leah, following several excellent Fado singers received a standing ovation from all of them and an international audience. Leah has recorded with Brazilian guitarist/singer Paulinho Garcia, performed with world renowned Jazz Steel Drummer Othello Mollineaux, and noted jazz pianists, Kenny Drew, Jr., Richard Drexler and Judy Roberts, to name a few. An actress, singer and dancer, Leah has also modeled internationally, performed with symphony orchestras, big bands, {including lawrence Welk) and has sung at many jazz festivals.
She continues to push the envelope and has added sign language to her repertoire.
Kenny Soderblom, an accomplished saxophonist, bandleader and producer, has enjoyed a multifaceted career, contracting and performing with orchestras accompanying Frank Sinatra, Quincy Jones, Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Julie Andrews, Burt Bacharach, Benny Goodman, Mel Torme, Henry Mancini and Steve and Eydie, to name a few. Other career highlights include soloing with Sarah Vaughan and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and performances on a 9 country international jazz festival tour with Gerry Mulligan. Kennyâs professional background includes 8 years with the CBS/Chicago Staff Orchestra, 4 years as Music Director, Chicago Theater and Associate Music Director, Magic Mountain opening season in Los Angeles as well as performing on thousands of TV and radio commercials working as a free-lance musician.

Recently Kenny and Leah performed for Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation and for Patty Duke and The Sunshine From Darkness Foundation. They also performed for select audiences on Crystal and Regent Cruise lines.
Together Kenny and Leah create an aura that captivates audiences. Their love for the music and each other is infectious!
