Details:
Born and raised in Batavia, Illinois, a suburb west of Chicago, Gail Becker feels quite at home making a cabaret career and living in downtown Chicago.

Gail has been no stranger to the cabaret world, having been at it for over fifteen years. Her highly anticipated debut album Small Day Tomorrow was produced in Chicago and released May of 2006.

It includes great Chicago musicians such as Eric Koppa on sax, world touring bassist Matt Ulery, Paul Mutzabaugh on piano, drummer Mike Caskey, and one of the world's leading Irish fiddle player, Liz Knowles.

A collection of jazz and cabaret songs, Gail spans decades of genres from the early 1940âs standards to the intricate 3 part harmonies of Stephen Sondheim. With some arrangements and piano by off-Broadway composer Jon Steinhagen, she even includes a few gems from her critically acclaimed show "Can't Stop Talking" the music of Betty Hutton. Lighting up Davenport's Cabaret Room in Chicago, Jeff Rossen of Cabaret Scenes named it one of the Top Ten Cabaret Shows of 2002. "Becker creates nothing less than pure magic." (****)
