Born to deaf parents Paul is the youngest of four children. With his Mother sitting next to him tapping her foot to the vibration of his music, he began to pursue his lifelong dream - to write and sing and produce his music. The loss of his parents, his Brother, and one sister had a profound affect on his life. His songs reflect his experiences. Paul's lyrics tell stories of love, personal loss, hope, desire, and always show intense passion. Paul is a spiritual man, who has found his own deep meaning of life, and his feelings are resonated in his music. He has recorded seven CD's, the newest one, OPEN FOR FORGIVENESS(2009), also, MODERN DAY PYGMALION (2008), COMPASSION AVENUE (2006), and his single song CD, CHRISTMAS WISH (2006, Mnemosyne(2002), Fading Portrait (2004), and Jackknife. You can hear samples of his work on his website www.paulgengmusic.com. Paul wrote the lyrics for all of his songs. He sings,and plays acoustic guitar for six of his CD's, Mnemosyne, Fading Portrait, Compassion Avenue, and Christmas Wish, Modern Day Pygmalion, and Open for Forgiveness. He wrote the lyrics, and sings on his CD, titled Jackknife (1992,which was re-released in 2005).

Each of Paulâs CD's, take a new direction, yet the signature sound of Paul remains intact. A beautiful collection of songs coming from the heart of a very talented Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter and Music Producer. Paulâs talents as a guitarist are spotlighted in most of his songs, including three instrumentals.
