Pink Army was formed in San Diego, CA in 2008 from a vision of music producer and recording artist Ruben Angel and singer, Alicia Randolph. Soon after, two amazing young girls, Lia Johnson and Kayla Cruise, who also share the love of music and performing, joined the group. The name Pink Army signifies peace, strength, and femininity. Many of the songs include three part harmonies that showcase the girlsâ strong voices and unity as a group. Their songs inspire and send a positive message with lyrics such as, âSend your hope into the sky, and wish upon a star that one day it will come trueâ.

With the average age of 11, these girls are no strangers to the entertainment industry. All three have been performing for audiences for a combined total of 16 years. Alicia has appeared in numerous films, TV shows, commercials, and professional theater productions. She also has a background as a hip-hop dancer and still performs with a local dance troupe. She began singing at the age of 5 and has a journal full of songs that she adds to often. Lia has also been in several films, television shows, musicals, and a music video. She has been singing professionally since she was 9 and has been dancing for over a year. Lia loves performing, skateboarding, and surfing. Kayla Cruise has been in numerous professional theatrical performances and most recently performed with the San Diego Opera as one of the youngest members of the cast. Kayla has also performed at the Old Globe Theater and was a part of the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the San Diego Civic Theater. Kayla also has a background in dance performance and is an active Girl Scout.

Pink Army's first demo CD consists of 4 upbeat songs ranging from pop to hip hop. Their first song, Super Dash, is a hip hop song with a quick tempo that makes you want to get up and dance. The girls sing with energy that conveys their readiness to âdashâ into living their dreams and life to its fullest. The second song, Tell Me, has the beat and power of a hit rock song. The strong drums and rhythmic guitar sounds combined with the strong yet feminine voices of the Pink Army girls makes for a cutting edge song. Power Up brings back 80s synthesizer with techno rhythms and a strong dance beat. The final song, Work It, is a catchy pop song that will get everyone out of their seats and moving to the music. The Pink Army girls give take a refreshing, dazzling approach to music. The CD, entitled Pink Army, is available now.

This summer, Pink Army has many shows scheduled throughout Southern California. They also plan on recording more songs for a complete album in the near future. Keep your eyes on this amazing group!
