Details:
'factory' was commissioned in April 2009 by New Media Scotland for their 10th Anniversary.
The commissioning brief was simple; write, record and produce 8 tracks, all 140 seconds long (2:20). This oddly specific brief was set to fit with poems written by poet Hannu Rajaniemi and code poet Netwurker Mez for release through Twitter, where the writing limit is 140 characters.

All the tracks on the album were written by Peter Gregson and Milton Mermikides and were recorded live.
