Details:
Massimiliano Peretti (born on August 5th 1961 in Vercelli) - double-bass, electric bass, choral director, composition, piano, keyboards, guitar, flutes. Researcher and thinker in the field of music.

Graduated at the Turin conservatory "G. Verdi" in:
double bass (with maestro Enzo Ferraris)
choral music and choir direction (with maestro Sergio Pasteris)
didactics of music.

He attended summer perfection courses in:
double bass (led by Ludwig Streicher and Gary Karr)
choral direction (led by Marco Berrini).

Under the leadership of Giovanni Piazza (Orff music and instruments), Marcella Sanna (music and movement), Alberto Conrado (voice and communication) and Ciro Paduano (integrated activities), he attended two sessions of the didactics seminars of the Italian Orff Schulwerk at the "Didactics Research Center Musicanto" of Piossasco.

Enhanced his knowledge in: composition, orchestral direction, musicology and systematic musicology (i.e. psychology of music, psychoacustic, sociology of music, philosophy of music, musical aesthetic, didactics of music, musical acoustic, physiological acoustic, physiology of executive technique, ethnology).

He followed a two years course of harmony and jazz led by maestro Gianni Negro at the "Centro Jazz" of Turin.

Very fond of poli-instrumentalism he studied also piano, electric bass, guitar and recorders.

Founder and leader of Kolophonium ensemble, devoted to ancient and modern music, and of Living Consort formation. This latter having an original repertory swinging between writing and improvisation.
